Niangoloko:Ephraim private high school began a three-day celebration on Thursday to mark its 25th anniversary, focusing on the theme "From academic excellence to initiation into trades."
According to Burkina Information Agency, the events kicked off with a fun run through the city, followed by an opening ceremony featuring speeches and a testimonial from the school's first headmaster, Loise Tamalgo. Tamalgo expressed deep gratitude to the school's founder, Daniel Nassa, for his visionary leadership.
The ceremony was led by Ousséni Ouédraogo, President of the special delegation of Niangoloko, and sponsored by the governor of the Tannounyan region, whose technical advisor, Boukary Dionou, represented youth and employment interests.
Other notable participants included Alidou Karim Koné, regional director of Secondary, Vocational and Technical Education of Tannounyan, and Raphaël Soma, provincial director of Comoé. Speakers highlighted the significant educational contributions of Ephraim high school, the first private institution in Niangoloko.
The celebration included gift presentations to local authorities and a tour of the school facilities. The day concluded with the final match of a maracana tournament. On Friday, a women's cycling race took place, with a public conference scheduled to follow at the school.
