Ouagadougou: The recent claim about the assassination of a teacher in Titao has been proven false.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the allegation originated from a Facebook post by activist Anton Kalil Diaby Relais. The post asserted that a history and geography teacher named Patrick was killed by terrorists in Titao on February 14, 2026.

Upon investigation, the Burkina Information Agency conducted checks with relevant services, revealing that there is no teacher by the name of Patrick listed in the directory of secondary school teachers in the Loroum province. This discovery confirms that the information circulating in the activist's post is incorrect.

The dissemination of such false information may be an attempt to demoralize the community and workers in Titao, a locality known for its resilience.
