Faso Mêbo Agency Donates Benches to Improve Health Facilities

Goulmou:Gourma The Faso Mêbo regional agency in Goulmou has donated two benches to several health centers, including the Health and Social Promotion Centers (CSPS) of Gomnoré, Sector 7, Sector 9, and Urban Medical Center No. 1 (CMU). This initiative, carried out on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, aims to enhance patient reception and ease the strain on these facilities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation addresses an urgent need for seating in the health centers of the commune of Fada N'Gourma. The centers have been facing challenges due to a large influx of patients, which often makes patient care and reception difficult.

Rasmané Ouédraogo, head of the Gomoré CSPS post, expressed gratitude and satisfaction on behalf of the beneficiaries. He noted that the benches will provide much-needed relief in the maternity ward, where pregnant women previously had to stand while waiting their turn. The new seating allows them to wait in greater comfort.

The donated benches will also be beneficial during weighing sessions and for accompanying persons and health workers during their shifts and deliveries. In acknowledging the support, Comrade Ouédraogo praised the efforts of the Faso Mêbo team, the Solidarity Development Program (PDS), and regional health directors for their ongoing commitment to the well-being of the community.
