Banwa: The Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and teachers from the commune of Matiacoali held an aerobics session in the town on Saturday, January 31, 2026. This session aimed to convey a strong message of resilience and hope.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and teachers intend to demonstrate through this joint mobilization that, despite security challenges, life remains possible in Matiacoali and that the population refuses to give in to fear.

The aerobics session took place in a friendly and fraternal atmosphere, bringing together several members of the FDS and those involved in education for rhythmic physical exercises. Beyond the sporting aspect, the activity served as a framework for bringing together and strengthening ties between two bodies essential to the functioning and stability of the municipality.

The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Matiacoali municipality, Had© Souleymane Daramkoum, praised the initiative, which he described as highly symbolic. He indicated that this aerobics session, in addition to its benefits for physical and mental health, contributes to consolidating solidarity, social cohesion, and mutual trust between the security forces and teachers. "This activity allows defense and security forces and teachers to become more familiar with each other and strengthen their shared commitment to fighting the evil that threatens us all: terrorism," he said.

For Daramkoum, responding to security challenges also involves social and community actions that promote unity and living together. Participants expressed their satisfaction with the event, which they consider a motivating factor and a way to bring people closer together. They emphasized the importance of such initiatives in maintaining morale and promoting an image of stability and determination in the face of adversity.

According to the organizers, two aerobics sessions are planned each month in the commune of Matiacoali. These regular sporting events aim to perpetuate the framework for exchanges between the various stakeholders and to strengthen the spirit of collaboration in a challenging security context. Through this action, Matiacoali sends a strong message: that of a community standing tall, united, and resolutely committed to peace and security.
