FIFA Day: The Stallions Arrive in Tunis for Friendly Against Carthage Eagles

Tunis: The Burkina Faso Stallions arrived early this Thursday morning in Tunis, the Tunisian capital, where they are set to play an international friendly match against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia as part of the FIFA window, announced the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe delegation left Ouagadougou on the night of Wednesday, May 28, and reached the Tunisian capital in the early morning of May 29, with ten players making the journey. The FBF shared this update on its Facebook page. The players who traveled include Edmond Tapsoba (Bayer Leverkusen), Issa Kabor© (Werder Bremen), Memel Dao (AS SONABEL), Abdoul Razack Yoda (FC Milsami), Mohamed Konat© (Al-Riyadh FC), Jack Pantoulou Diarra (Salias FC), Josu© Tiendr©b©ogo (FC Annecy), Hassane Rachid Traor© (USFA), Abdoul Rachid Ayind© (Jong KAA Gent), and Ladji Brahima Sanou (AS SONABEL).

These players joined 12 teammates who were already at the hotel. The reunited squad consists of Isma«l Ganiou (FC Annecy), Nasser Djiga (Wolverhampton), Adamo Nagalo (PSV Eindhoven), Ars¨ne Guy Kouassi (AC Ajaccio), Herv© Koffi (RC Lens), Farid Ou©draogo (AS Vita Club), Kilian Nikiema (Ado La Haye), C©dric Badolo (Spartak Trnava), Mohamed Zoungrana (Mouloudia Club), Cyriaque Bi Iri© Kalou (Fribourg), Hassane Band© (HJK Helsinki), and Pierre Landry Kabor© (JK Trans Narva).

Five more Stallions are expected to complete the squad soon. These include Saidou Simpor© (National Bank Egypt), Bertrand Traor© (Ajax Amsterdam), Issoufou Dayo (RS Berkane), Ousseni Bouda (Earthquakes San Jose), and Aziz St©phane Ki (Wydad Athletic Club).

Coach Brama Traor© currently has 22 players available for his first training session scheduled for this afternoon at 5 p.m., or 4 p.m. GMT. Burkina Faso will face Tunisia on June 2 in Tunis, followed by a match against Zimbabwe on June 6 in Casablanca, Morocco, as part of this FIFA Day.
