Former workers of Radiodiffusion Télévision du Burkina (RTB) formalized on Thursday the Amicale des anciens de la RTB (AmA-RTB) with a view to strengthening solidarity, assistance and fraternity among retirees of this media."Now retired, we must create a framework of mutual aid and support to overcome life's difficulties. Being together makes us stronger in the face of challenges," said the president of the association, Zan Élie.According to the president of the association, the creation of this structure is motivated by the need to maintain strong links between former collaborators.Elie Zan emphasizes that AmA-RTB also aims to create social works and set up a solidarity fund to help its members in difficult and favorable times.AmA-RTB also plans to establish relations with other similar structures in Burkina Faso and internationally.In a spirit of intergenerational transmission of journalistic knowledge, AmA-RTB intends to support young journalists by providing them with the expertise necessary t o improve the quality of their work.Because the elders remain benchmarks for current generations in the continuity of work well done, the president maintained.Source: Burkina Information Agency
