Ouagadougou: The 2002-2006 class of the Training and Research Unit in Legal and Political Sciences (UFR-SJP) from the former University of Ouagadougou, now known as Thomas Sankara University, has made a significant contribution to the Charles-de-Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital. On Friday, these former law students presented a donation of 1.5 million FCFA to support the sick children at the hospital.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the class representative, Roger Minougou, emphasized that the donation is a gesture of solidarity towards the patients of the hospital. Minougou expressed that while the donation may not solve all problems, it is intended to help alleviate the suffering of the children during their hospital stay.
He further acknowledged the dedication of the healthcare staff at the center, commending their efforts in working under challenging conditions to restore the health and dignity of the patients.
The interim director general of the Charles-de-Gaulle children's hospital, Denis Compaor©, assured the donors that the funds would be used appropriately. He highlighted that the contribution would assist parents who struggle to provide adequate care for their children due to financial constraints.
