Ganzourgou: Educational Supervisors Trained in Moore Transcription and Subject-Specific Teaching Methods

Ganzourgou: At the initiative of the provincial directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education of Ganzourgou, educational supervisors from the basic education districts of Zorgho and Salogo underwent training on the transcription of the Moore language and the didactics of the disciplines.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the session began on March 18, 2026, in the meeting room of the provincial directorate in Zorgho. It brought together pedagogical advisors responsible for supporting teachers in schools within their districts.

Over four days, participants familiarized themselves with the rules of Moore transcription and subject-specific teaching methods. The work focused particularly on the correspondences between sounds and written symbols, the correct reading and writing of words, and the production of texts in this national language.

The training was provided by trainers Noaga Simon Kabore and Adama Bernard Compaore. Through presentations and practical exercises, they guided the pedagogical supervisors in understanding the transcription mechanism of the Moore language and its use in the school context.

This initiative is part of the ongoing effort to promote national languages and support bilingual education within the Burkinab¨ education system. The trained supervisors will then share their newly acquired knowledge with teachers to facilitate the use of Moore in learning.

At the end of the four days of work, participants should have tools enabling them to more effectively support teachers in the use of the Moore language as a teaching aid in schools.
