Ganzourgou: The High Commissioner of the Ganzourgou province, Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, officially launched the written and oral baccalaureate exams for the 2026 session on Tuesday at the Zorgho provincial high school. Accompanied by the Secretary General of the province, Harouna Karambiri, and the President of the special municipal delegation of Zorgho, Valentin Badolo, along with other provincial officials and security forces, the launch was conducted at jury 375, located at the provincial high school of Zorgho.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event began with the raising of the national colors, followed by a visit from the delegation to several examination rooms to offer encouragement to the candidates. Addressing the applicants, the High Commissioner emphasized the importance of composure, responsibility, and discipline. She advised the students to trust in their academic knowledge and to uphold the principle of merit, discouraging any form of cheating.
The High Commissioner expressed appreciation for the efforts of teachers, supervisors, parents, and the educational community in supporting the candidates throughout the year. Wendlassida Hermann Kagamb¨ga, president of jury 375, reported that his jury includes 196 candidates, with a gender distribution of 82 girls and 114 boys across eight examination rooms. He affirmed that the examination process was proceeding smoothly and encouraged candidates to remain calm and confident.
Barth©l©my Boudaon©, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Ganzourgou, also urged the candidates to approach the exams without stress and with confidence. This year, Ganzourgou has registered 879 candidates, a decrease from 1,009 in the previous session. The candidates consist of 518 girls and 361 boys.
The province has organized four examination boards for the current session, down from five last year, with three boards located in Zorgho and one in Mogt©do. The initial results of the exams are anticipated to be announced on July 2nd.
