General Assembly of Teachers in Sebba Highlights Challenges and Renewed Commitments

Sebba: Teachers from the Sebba Basic Education District held a general assembly on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Sebba A school, with a renewed commitment from these educators.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, chaired by the Chief Inspector of Basic Education District (CCEB), Bali Bako, provided an opportunity to review the functioning of school structures, the management of the canteen, and the analysis of the results of the mock exam organized on February 4, 5, and 6, 2026.

The CCEB congratulated all stakeholders for their efforts since the start of the academic year. Despite progress, difficulties persist, including a lack of teaching materials, insufficient teaching staff, and large class sizes.

Faced with these challenges, locally sourced proposals were formulated to improve daily life in schools. Regarding school canteen management, the CCEB emphasized the importance of rigorous food management and the timely submission of monthly reports to the controller. It reminded school principals to strengthen parental awareness campaigns to support locally sourced canteens through school councils.

Regarding the mock exam, the results still need improvement. To achieve better percentages at the end of the year, the CCEB urged each principal and their team to work together, reminding them that academic performance is a collective responsibility.

Ongoing educational reforms, including gardening activities and the profession of poultry farmer, have also been reviewed, demonstrating a desire to adapt the school to the realities of the country, Burkina Faso.
