Gossina: Members of the Lawassiko Simplified Maize Production Cooperative Society in Gossina harvested their roughly five-hectare maize field this past Saturday, marking a significant advancement in their goal to enhance food self-sufficiency within the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the cooperative’s harvest event was characterized by a spirit of solidarity and collective effort, as members gathered to collect the mature corn. This activity represents the fruits of their shared efforts and perseverance. The president of the cooperative, speaking during the harvest, commended the members for their dedication and teamwork. He emphasized the cooperative’s mission to boost food self-sufficiency, promote local production, and ensure access to adequate and healthy food, especially for vulnerable groups.
The group’s elder also expressed pride in the cooperative’s achievements. He congratulated the members for their efforts and urged the youth of Gossina to adopt this model of community responsibility and solidarity.
