Goulmou Regional Council Urges Burkinabe to Support National Objectives

Fada n’gourma: The Secretary General of the Goulmou Regional Council, Bernard Kombere, chaired a ceremony on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Fada N’Gourma, marking the traditional raising of the national colors. The event was attended by his collaborators and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), emphasizing the call for Burkinabe to take supportive actions toward achieving national goals.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Bernard Kombere highlighted the significance of the ceremony, noting the voluntary halt of traffic by local users during the event. He interpreted this as a sign of the Burkinabe people’s growing interest in republican values.

Kombere addressed his colleagues, wishing them a productive start to November and reminding them of the nation’s challenging security situation. He stressed the importance of individual contributions to overcoming the war-related difficulties and urged actions that support, rather than hinder, the achievement of objectives.

He further encouraged the Burkinabe to remain aware of the country’s difficult context and to integrate this awareness into their daily lives. Kombere also commended the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP) for their ongoing efforts in combating terrorism, often at great personal risk.

The monthly raising of the colors is a civic ritual aimed at fostering patriotism and strengthening national cohesion.
