Gourcy: Illegal and lawless occupants of public roads are asked to vacate the premises. In a press release dated May 20, 2025, the president of the special delegation of the commune of Gourcy, Bosso To© Kaba T©r©, called on illegal and lawless occupants of public roads to vacate the premises immediately.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this measure aims to reduce traffic accidents and prevent the deterioration of road infrastructure, the construction and maintenance of which cost the state a lot of money. Residents of the areas surrounding National Road 2, which runs through the town of Gourcy, are particularly affected.

Regulations stipulate that public road rights-of-way must be cleared for at least two meters on either side. This enforcement is part of efforts to ensure safety and protect the investment in public infrastructure.
