Ouagadougou: The province of Gourma celebrated the recognition of the efforts made and the results achieved by primary school stakeholders during this school year, on Friday July 18, 2024 in Fada N'Gourma.Despite adversity, women and men wanted to ensure the right to education of children in this eastern part of Burkina Faso where the terrorist hydra has been raging for several years.To recognize the efforts made and the results achieved by education stakeholders, the Provincial Directorate in charge of Primary Education of Gourma, organized a day of academic excellence on Friday July 18, 2024 in Fada N' Gourma.The ceremony was chaired by the high commissioner of Gourma province, Silas Nacanabo.Placed on the theme 'Excellence at school in times of resilience: light of hope', this day of academic excellence was an opportunity to reward actors from all levels of preschool and primary school who have distinguished themselves by their commitment to work during the past school year.The provincial directo r in charge of Primary Education, Kamimana Singbéogo, expressed his gratitude to all the actors who played a crucial role in conquering the knowledge of these children who are the flowers of tomorrow.Thus, he indicated that the unwavering support of partners and the efforts made by everyone enabled the province of Gourma to achieve a success rate of 82.32% in the last session of the examination of the Primary Education Certificate (CEP) compared to 71.01% last year.Regarding the winners, the Basic Education District (CEB) of Fada N'Gourma I won almost the various category prizes.These brilliant results raise it to first place in the CEB ranking.The head of this constituency, Ahadi Idani, maintained that this award is the fruit of the resilience of all stakeholders.With 162 candidates presented to the CEP 2024, teacher Yacouba Togyéni from the Baapouguini B school obtained 146 admissions, i.e. a success rate of 90.12%.He thus becomes the best teacher in the province in this edition of excellence.Yacouba Togyéni, gets a motorcycle as a reward.The winners of this edition of excellence returned home with letters of recognition, bicycles, educational kits and various materials.Source: Burkina Information Agency
