Governor Bassinga Engages with Socio-Professional Stakeholders in PA Commune

Bal©: The governor meets with several socio-professional stakeholders in the commune of PA. The Governor of the Bankui and Sourou region, Pierre Bassinga, embarked on a significant visit to PA, highlighting his commitment to various socio-professional sectors within the community. During the visit, Governor Bassinga interacted with traditional authorities, participated in a fish harvesting session at the dam, supported the Defense and Security Forces and the VDP (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland), engaged with women's associations, and observed an artificial insemination session for cows.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor's visit to the PA commune was well-received by stakeholders at different locations throughout the city, who welcomed him with enthusiasm and attentiveness. Accompanied by local administrative authorities, Governor Bassinga first met with the traditional leaders of PA, extending New Year's greetings and seeking blessings for the Head of State and the government.

The visit continued with a tour of the PA dam, where the governor met with fish farmers operating floating cages. The fish farm consists of 20 floating cages, 15 of which are currently in production, managed by two cooperatives and private individuals. These producers have benefitted from subsidies provided by the PAFA 4R project and guidance from agents of the Bal© Provincial Directorate of Animal and Fisheries Resources. The governor expressed satisfaction with the results of this innovative fishery resource production, emphasizing the importance of achieving food self-sufficiency.

Following the dam visit, Governor Bassinga addressed the national gendarmerie and volunteers gathered in PA, commending their dedication to national security and encouraging their continued efforts. He then met with representatives of women's associations at the town hall and concluded his itinerary at the livestock park, where he observed an artificial insemination session for cows.

This visit marks Governor Bassinga's third trip to the Bal© region this year, demonstrating his ongoing engagement with socio-professional sectors and his commitment to fostering the vision of a progressive popular revolution in collaboration with the local population.
