Ouagadougou: Governor Bassinga urges IPO conscripts to become ambassadors for Burkina Faso. The governor of the Bankuy-Sourou region, Babo Pierre Bassinga, conducted a supervisory visit on Saturday to the Nayala Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) site in Toma. He commended the organization of the activity and urged the 348 participants to demonstrate exemplary conduct and patriotism.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Pierre Bassinga, who is also the president of the regional cell of IPO 2026, was accompanied by the regional director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Raoul Sanon, during his visit to the Nayala Provincial High School. This step is part of a tour to supervise the immersion sites in the Bankuy-Sourou regions.

Welcomed by administrative authorities, constituted bodies, and citizen watch movements, the governor spoke with the new high school graduates. He expressed his approval of the immersion process and praised the commitment of the supervisors, the Defense and Security Forces, the medical staff, and the catering teams.

Congratulating the students on their success in the 2026 baccalaureate exams, Comrade Bassinga encouraged them to make good use of what they had learned at the IPO. He recommended that they share the “good habits” they had learned with their peers and demonstrate discipline, patience, perseverance, and respect for their parents, teachers, and elders.

The governor also encouraged young people to use digital tools to deepen their knowledge of the history and values of Burkina Faso. The visit concluded with a tree-planting session with the conscripts, a symbol of civic engagement and environmental protection.

The regional authority called on the young people to continue their studies seriously and to carry everywhere the patriotic values acquired during the immersion.
