Ouagadougou: The governor of the Bankui and Sourou regions, Babo Pierre Bassinga, invited the 223 new high school graduates in compulsory patriotic immersion (IPO) at the Banwa provincial high school this Tuesday afternoon to be ambassadors and to watch over the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this visit by the governor to Solenzo is part of the monitoring of activities carried out for the benefit of those called up for the mandatory patriotic immersion program in 2026. Upon his arrival, Governor Bassinga was welcomed by the province's official bodies, headed by High Commissioner Sanfienale Joseph Sirima. The governor's delegation then proceeded to the IPO site where the conscripts and their supervisors were waiting.
During his visit, the top official of the Bankui region praised the commitment of the instructors and the rigorous organization of the site. He explained the geopolitical issues to the recruits, urging them to reject treachery and encouraging them to demonstrate discipline, diligence, and patriotism throughout their training.
The governor recalled that the mandatory patriotic immersion aims to instill in new generations the values of civic duty, social cohesion, and love of country, in a context where the State intends to forge responsible citizens committed to national development.
At the end of the visit, Governor Bassinga reiterated his support for the trainers and urged the young people to fully seize this opportunity to build a future imbued with civic values. A symbolic planting of a flamboyant tree, followed by a visit to the site's health center and the canteen workers, concluded the governor's stay in Solenzo.
