Tenkodogo: The Governor of the Central-East region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, presided over the opening ceremony of the regional public-private consultation framework in the traders' hall in Tenkodogo. The event, held under the theme "Infrastructure development: issues, challenges and patriotic commitment for a sustainable economy," aims to foster collaboration and dialogue between public authorities and economic actors to address development challenges.

According to Burkina Information Agency, these consultations are designed to establish channels for exchange at the regional level in preparation for sectoral meetings. The initiative seeks to build a synergy of actions between the public and private sectors to tackle development issues. Colonel Lamizana commended the resilience and dedication of economic operators amidst security challenges, urging stakeholders to engage in sincere and courteous discussions to formulate effective recommendations.

Colonel Lamizana also called on local governments to ensure the effective follow-up and implementation of the recommendations put forth. He emphasized the importance of local business stakeholders fully embracing this framework for dialogue to ensure its success.

Alidou Ou©draogo, Regional Director of Trade for the Centre-East, stated that the consultations aim to review the implementation of the 2024 recommendations. He mentioned that relevant departments will evaluate the recommendations and propose solutions, with unresolved issues being escalated to sectoral meetings in Ouagadougou.

The representative of the Chamber of Commerce, Larba Odette Ilboudo, highlighted that the Central-East region has thirty identified concerns, including access to financing, public procurement, and debt settlement, among others.
