Nando: The esplanade of the Centre-West Regional Council served on Monday as the setting for the traditional monthly ceremony of raising the national colors, where the governor of Nando, Adama Jean Yves B©r©, asked everyone to perform well. Chaired by the governor of the region, Adama Jean Yves B©r©, this ceremony was marked by a strong message calling for "maximum performance" from public officials for the year 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, after singing the Ditany¨ in unison, a symbol of renewed unity, Governor Adama Jean Yves B©r© took the floor to deliver the message of the month. This speech, a call for change, aligns with the vision of "acceleration" advocated by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. Drawing on the aeronautical metaphor used by the President of Burkina Faso on January 26, the governor warned that the regional administration is now entering its "V1" phase. "The time for doubt, slowness, and routine is behind us. We are now in the phase of responsible action and setting an example," he declared.
For the regional authority, every administrative delay will now have a cost, while every effort will be valued double. The governor used this platform to review a particularly busy January at the highest levels of government. He notably highlighted the major reforms reshaping Burkina Faso's institutional landscape, such as the formation of the Rimtalba II government. This reshuffle was marked by evocative names like the "Ministry of Servants of the People" and the "Ministry of Nation-Building."
In terms of legislative reforms, there is the establishment of new days of commemoration, the official status of the customary chieftaincy, and the creation of the Faso Mªbo Agency for the opening up of the country. The dissolution of political parties is a measure aimed at preserving national unity and reforming governance.
Speaking directly to civil servants in the Nando region, Adama Jean Yves B©r© stressed that these national decisions must translate into concrete results on the ground. "Citizens expect solutions from us, not complications," he insisted, calling for an end to mediocrity and complacency in public services. By establishing rigor as a "professional hallmark," the governor urged his staff to make the regional administration a model of performance. The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of unity, with participants leaving with the firm mission to embody, each in their respective role, the renewal of the state.
