Nazinon: In his New Year's greetings, the Governor of the Nazinon region, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma, urged the people of his territorial jurisdiction to continue the collective mobilization to consolidate the gains and support the reforms undertaken by the Government. In its message, the regional authority expressed its hope that 2026 would bring hope, renewal, and opportunities to all communities in Nazinon. It noted that 2025 had been marked by significant challenges, but also by substantial progress, particularly in the area of security.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the gradual consolidation of security in the region has been a key driver for the recovery of economic and social activities. She commended the unwavering commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), the vigilance of the population, and the crucial contribution of administrative, traditional, and religious authorities, all of which have helped to restore a more stable and development-friendly environment.
This improved security situation, she continued, has also had a positive impact on the rainy season, reinforcing the Nazinon region's position as the breadbasket of Burkina Faso.
Ms. Nacoulma also congratulated the people for their strong mobilization during the major events hosted by the region in 2025, notably the launch of the national reforestation campaign and the celebration of National Tree Day, held under the high patronage of the President of Burkina Faso, Head of State. She also mentioned the meetings with key stakeholders, which contributed to strengthening dialogue, patriotic awareness, and civic engagement within the dynamic of the Popular Progressive Revolution.
Addressing the people of Nazinon, she indicated that 2026 opens as a decisive year for consolidating achievements and fully contributing to the success of presidential initiatives and major government reforms.
"I urge all the people of Nazinon to maintain unity, solidarity, and mobilization in order to transform challenges into opportunities for an even more promising future for our region," she exhorted.
"May 2026 be a year of peace, progress and success for our beloved homeland, Burkina Faso. Happy New Year to all," wished the Governor.
