Djibo: The High Commissioner of the province of Djelgodji, Wend-Nere Wilfried Tougma, organized an information and exchange meeting at the town hall of Djibo to discuss the presidential initiative "Faso Mebo", as observed by AIB on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the "Faso Mebo" initiative, led by the Presidency of Faso, aims to bolster civic engagement and provide practical solutions for development. It seeks to directly involve communities in nation-building by training young people and creating infrastructure that meets local needs.
The High Commissioner noted that the initiative will facilitate job creation for both young people and adults, enhance awareness and training on significant national issues, and strengthen social cohesion and national solidarity.
"The objective is to prepare young people for the challenges of tomorrow by providing them with better access to practical training and promoting their integration into community development, while consolidating national values," he explained.
During the meeting, participants expressed their interest and eagerness to embrace the program by asking numerous questions. The High Commissioner provided what were seen as concrete responses and praised the national enthusiasm for "Faso Mebo," viewing it as a pivotal moment for the development of Burkina Faso.
Tougma highlighted that the Djelgodji province has already contributed significantly to the initiative, noting the delivery of 31 tons of cement to the Philippe Zinda Kabore high school in Ouagadougou on July 31, 2025. He mentioned that contributions are ongoing, reflecting the people's support for the vision of the highest authorities in building a new Burkina Faso.
