Gnagna: The High Commissioner officially launches the CEP and BEPC exams under the banner of serenity. The High Commissioner of Gnagna Province, Jean Baptiste Beogo, officially launched the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) exams this Tuesday in Bogand©, in the presence of provincial representatives and education officials.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began at 7:20 a.m. at the examination center located at the Saint-Pierre Private School in Bogand©, where the province's top official opened the envelope containing the first CEP exam paper in room number 1. He then performed the same exercise at 7:30 a.m. at the Bogand© Provincial High School for the launch of the BEPC exams.
At the Saint-Pierre private school, the High Commissioner spoke with the candidates and offered them a message of encouragement. 'Don't be scared. Stay relaxed and focused. What you've learned will be tested on you. Good luck. I expect 100%,' he said.
According to official statistics, 2,306 candidates, including 1,266 girls and 1,040 boys, are taking part in the CEP exams this year in the province. They are distributed across 21 examination centers with a total of 51 exam rooms. For the BEPC, 1,311 candidates, including 815 girls and 496 boys, are taking the exam in six juries and three secondary centers. In addition to these numbers, there are 33 candidates, including 22 boys, registered for the Vocational Aptitude Certificate (CAP) in masonry and electrical installation.
According to the organizers, the exams are proceeding smoothly. No incidents had been reported at the time of going to press. Defense and security forces, as well as health workers, were deployed to the various centers to ensure the security of the exams and provide medical care to candidates as needed.
The provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education for Gnagna, Sylvain Thiombiano, expressed his satisfaction with the measures taken to ensure the success of these exams. On behalf of the organizers, he expressed his gratitude to the administrative authorities and various partners for their support.
