Koosin: The High Commissioner of the Koosin province, Noufo Dembel©, officially commenced the 2026 baccalaureate exams by opening the first envelope of written exam papers at the provincial high school. A total of 624 candidates have registered for this year’s session. The High Commissioner urged all candidates to strive for an honorable position at the regional level.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Noufo Dembel©, accompanied by his delegation, paid tribute to the teaching staff responsible for overseeing the examinations. Following this, the High Commissioner provided words of encouragement to the candidates in one of the examination rooms, emphasizing the province’s expectation for candidates to achieve a commendable success rate and secure a notable position regionally.

The official act of opening the first envelope marked the beginning of the written tests for the 2026 baccalaureate session. This year, the province sees the participation of 624 candidates, including one candidate with a disability. Karfa Ferdinand Boni, the provincial director of Secondary Education, noted a decrease of 119 candidates compared to the previous year’s session.

Candidates in Koosin province are distributed across two exam centers. One, jury number 384, is located in Djibasso, offering series A and D exams. The other, comprising juries 385 and 386, is in Nouna. A unique aspect of this year’s session is the relocation of some candidates to other centers: 13 candidates from the GCC series are taking their exams in Koudougou, while 31 candidates from the F series are sitting their exams in Ouagadougou.
