Yagha: On the occasion of the New Year 2026, the High Commissioner of the province of Tuy, Issiaka Segda, addressed his wishes for health, joy, peace and social cohesion to all constituted bodies as well as to the entire population of his territorial jurisdiction. Mr. Segda made a solemn appeal to the population to continue the momentum of solidarity, recalling the presence, within the communities, of vulnerable and needy people who require constant support.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the province's top official also called on the people to support the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, and to adhere to presidential initiatives. He highlighted the commitment of the highest authorities in the country, along with government support, to national sovereignty and the development of Burkina Faso, emphasizing the need for the support and assistance of all citizens.

Furthermore, the High Commissioner urged the population to celebrate the end of the year with moderation, caution and respect for safety instructions, particularly on the roads, in order to prevent traffic accidents and loss of life. Issiaka Segda praised the efforts made by the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), while calling on citizens to strengthen civic vigilance in order to contribute to improving security and restoring peace in Burkina Faso.
