High Commissioner Praises Kenedougou Tax Office’s Achievements

Kenedougou: The High Commissioner of Kenedougou Province, Saïdou Sakira, presided over a flag-raising ceremony at the provincial tax office, commending the office for its efforts and results. The event, held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, included the playing of the national anthem and speeches focusing on administrative governance and the mobilization of public resources.According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of taxes for Kenedougou, Ibrahim Ouattara, reiterated the missions of his department and reviewed the past year's activities. He highlighted the staff's commitment, which led to exceeding initial projections for both the state budget and local authorities.Looking ahead, Ouattara stated that the objectives for the current fiscal year remain ambitious. He reaffirmed his team's determination to maintain performance momentum and strengthen a culture of tax compliance among taxpayers.The High Commissioner praised the provincial tax directorate's efforts, noting their significant c ontribution to local and national development. He emphasized the importance of exemplary tax compliance and encouraged the population to meet their civic obligations.Additionally, the High Commissioner provided updates on the ongoing reorganization of the local Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) into regional VDPs. He urged the population to support this initiative with a sense of collective responsibility.Lastly, he addressed the upcoming March 8th celebration, calling for a restrained and responsible commemoration in alignment with the national context.
