Seno: The High Commissioner of Seno Province, Yaya Kone, called on all constituted bodies, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and the entire population on Thursday to demonstrate civic responsibility regarding taxes and to promote civic values. This appeal was made during the traditional flag-raising ceremony held at the provincial headquarters of Social Action.According to Burkina Information Agency, during his address, High Commissioner Yaya Kone highlighted the significance of March, which will feature two major events: the celebration of International Women's Day on March 8, and the organization of the Days of Exemplary Tax Practice.Ali Kabore, the representative of the Provincial Director of Taxes (DPI), presented the objectives of the Days of Exemplary Tax Practice. He emphasized the initiative's aim to foster tax citizenship and encourage citizens, particularly employees within administrative and private sectors, to meet their personal tax obligations.Kabore outlined that the initiative cov ers several taxes, including residence, motor vehicle, weapons, property income, and land taxes on built and unbuilt properties. He noted that strengthening state revenues and consolidating national sovereignty are key outcomes expected from this initiative, aligning with the slogan: "For a resilient and sovereign Burkina Faso, I declare and pay my taxes."Each organization is encouraged to create a staff list and raise awareness among employees to participate in this civic activity. The High Commissioner urged the citizens of the province to actively engage in the month of tax citizenship through the 4th edition of the Days of Exemplary Tax Conduct, as well as in the commemorative activities of International Women's Day.Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their sacrifices in ensuring the province's security.
