Fada N'Gourma:Gourma: The High Commissioner of the Gourma province, Silas Nacanabo, has called on public officials to be rigorous and exemplary in their duties, emphasizing the importance of efficiency for the benefit of the people. This appeal was made during the raising of the national colors at the Provincial Directorate of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training of Gourma.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place on October 1, 2026, in Fada N'Gourma with the participation of the province's constituted bodies. The event was attended by heads of technical services, education stakeholders, and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).
Participants at the ceremony sang the national anthem, Le Ditany¨, reaffirming their commitment to national symbols and their dedication to serving the homeland. Hamadou Gassamb©, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, praised the efforts of administrative and educational authorities, the FDS, and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in reclaiming the national territory.
Gassamb© highlighted the successes in educational achievements, noting a 57.43% success rate in the BEPC and 61.76% in the Baccalaureate for the 2026 session. He also announced the opening of a new agri-food sector at the Kupiendieli Regional Vocational High School for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Nacanabo commended the regular participation at flag-raising ceremonies, stressing that the national flag should proudly fly at public administrations. He noted that this monthly ritual reinforces national unity and civic-mindedness.
He also praised the smooth execution of educational activities and examinations and urged officials to maintain rigor and exemplary conduct. Additionally, he advised responsible use of social networks, cautioning against actions that could harm social cohesion and peace.
Nacanabo concluded by wishing education stakeholders a successful start to the new school year and called for adherence to administrative discipline and laws to better meet the aspirations of the people.
