High Commissioner Urges Integrity During 2026 Baccalaureate Exams in Soum


Djibo: The High Commissioner of Soum Province, Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma, officially launched the written examinations for the 2026 baccalaureate session in Djibo on Tuesday. During the event, he urged candidates to avoid all forms of cheating in order to preserve the integrity of the exam and the image of the province.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the written exams for the 2026 baccalaureate session were officially launched this Tuesday across Soum Province, aligning with similar initiatives in other provinces of Burkina Faso. The ceremony was attended by the provincial director of Secondary Education, the head of the center, the president of the jury, members of the educational administration, and officials from the Defense and Security Forces.



High Commissioner Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma addressed the candidates, offering encouragement and best wishes for success. He emphasized the importance of remaining calm, focused, and disciplined throughout the exams. The High Commissioner highlighted the necessity of adhering to established rules, cautioning against any fraudulent practices that could undermine the credibility of the exam and damage the province’s reputation.



Mr. Tougma also addressed the jury members, supervisors, and all personnel involved in organizing the exams, urging them to exhibit rigor, responsibility, and professionalism to ensure the tests proceed smoothly in a transparent and fair environment. The province of Soum is hosting several candidates across different examination centers for the 2026 baccalaureate session.
