Hound©: The High Commissioner of Tuy Province, Issiaka Segda, initiated the first phase of the 2026 National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation in Hound©. He urged stakeholders to focus on consuming local products to enhance Burkina Faso's economic sovereignty.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch of the 3rd edition of this event was highlighted by the raising of national colors, performed in the Dioula language by a team from the provincial directorate of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Tuy. The ceremony, led by High Commissioner Issiaka Segda, saw the presence of administrative, military, customary, and religious leaders, alongside prominent figures from the province.

The message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, delivered by the High Commissioner, called on citizens to prioritize local consumption to fortify the nation's economic and food sovereignty. The High Commissioner encouraged traders to support local products and combat the illicit import of consumer goods. He emphasized that the desired new Burkinabe citizen is one who consciously transforms habits and instills in future generations the importance of producing and consuming local products. He urged citizens to embrace the slogan: "My plate, my pride."

This initial phase of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation is scheduled from March 26 to April 9, 2026, across the national territory, under the theme: "Food sovereignty and economic patriotism: together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption."
