Silly: High Commissioner Martin Bako called on women in the province on Monday, March 2, 2026, to prioritize initiatives that support endogenous development in the commemorative activities for International Women's Day. This appeal was made to women's associations during the monthly flag-raising ceremony at the Bale Provincial Directorate of Women and Solidarity (DPFS), which brought together various government bodies.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the constituted bodies of the Bale province honored the national flag as they do every first Monday of the month. For this third event of the year, the honor fell to the provincial directorate of family and solidarity to welcome administrative authorities, workers from all socio-professional sectors, associations of women and people living with disabilities, and the citizen watchdog.
The ceremony was marked by the honor to the flag led by the 6th company of firefighters, followed by the presentation of the services and missions of the DPFS by the acting provincial director, Douin Diallo and the address of the high commissioner, Martin Bako.
The authority, while welcoming the mobilization around this rotating monthly ceremony and the commitment of the actors for its success, recalled the meaning of the raising of the colours but also its attachment to the values and symbols of our country.
This occasion also allowed the authority to invite women's associations in the province to place at the heart of their activities commemorating International Women's Day on March 8 and throughout the month dedicated to women initiatives that promote endogenous development and by supporting the Faso M¨bo initiative through donations.
Acting Provincial Director Douin Diallo expressed the joy of all DPFS staff at the flag-raising ceremony. He also presented the services within his department, its main missions, and the major projects completed for the benefit of citizens over the past year.
