Ouagadougou: A history researcher and lecturer, Tassr Oudraogo, offered school bags and protective smocks on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to the best students admitted to the Primary School Certificate (CEP) of the Sitou¨ga Public Primary School, in the commune of Bokin. The ceremony took place in the presence of the representative of the canton chief of Sitou¨ga, members of the board of the Parents' Association (APE), parents of students as well as several other guests.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Tassr Oudraogo's initiative is intended to promote academic excellence in Sitou¨ga, the birthplace of Captain Thomas Sankara, the father of the Burkinab¨ Revolution. The researcher aims to acknowledge and encourage the students of the CM2 class, who achieved a 100% success rate in the 2026 Primary School Certificate (CEP) session.

During the ceremony, each of the successful students received a school bag along with various school supplies. Additionally, the top students from the CP1 and CM2 classes were awarded a protective smock in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.

According to the researcher, the initiative is designed to inspire students to continue their academic pursuits with increased rigor, perseverance, and dedication, with the goal of surpassing the achievements recorded in 2026. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support and committed to working diligently to maintain the donor's trust in the forthcoming school year.
