Houet: Artist Ibrahima Zerbo Officially Launches His Three Gospel Albums

Houet: Burkinabe gospel artist Ibrahima Zerbo officially dedicated his three discographic albums on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso during a press conference. Titled Jehova Ka K¨wali (2023), Yesu Ye N'ka Jorobana (2024), and An Ka B¨n (2025), the three albums are now grouped together on a USB key sold for 5,000 FCFA.

According to Burkina Information Agency, these works are part of a mission of evangelization through Mandinka sounds. Ibrahima Zerbo indicated that his compositions, inspired by the Holy Scriptures, sermons, and the realities of society, aim to proclaim the word of God and convey a message of hope.

'Generally, inspiration comes first from the Bible, through reading the Holy Scriptures. It also comes from the sermons of our pastors. Some themes developed in sermons can be transformed into songs. Finally, we are also inspired by what we experience in society,' said Ibrahima Zerbo.

The artist also explained that he deliberately waited until after his wedding to organize the album launch, considering it a personal choice. Through these three albums, Ibrahima Zerbo intends to contribute to spreading the Gospel while also celebrating musical heritage.
