Houet: The municipality of P©ni dedicated a day on Friday, July 31, 2026, to the different communities living on its territory as part of its 72 Hours, through artistic and cultural performances intended to promote living together and social cohesion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, more than a dozen communities took turns on stage before a highly engaged audience. Each presented traditional dances, rhythms, songs, and costumes reflecting their cultural identity, thus offering a true panorama of the diversity that characterizes the commune of P©ni.

The representative of the organizing committee, Comrade Issouf Ouattara, stated that the activity aims to foster cultural exchange among the population, strengthen fraternal bonds, and promote peace through culture. He added that this initiative also serves as preparation for the various communities to actively participate in the upcoming National Culture Week (SNC), a major event for showcasing Burkina Faso's cultural heritage.

The various performances were warmly applauded by the audience, who praised the quality of the organization and the diversity of cultural expressions presented. For many participants, this day demonstrated that culture remains a powerful factor in bringing people together and an important driver of local development.

Among the participating communities, the Nigerien group made a lasting impression with a performance combining songs, dances, and traditional costumes. Their presentation illustrated the historical, cultural, and fraternal ties that unite the people of Niger and Burkina Faso. The audience warmly welcomed the delegation, whose participation helped strengthen the spirit of unity and solidarity that characterized this Community Day.
