Ioba: The High Commissioner invites the entire population to fully engage in the National Days of Patriotic Commitment. The High Commissioner of Ioba Province, Innocents Ouattara, officially launched the first phase of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Dano.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch of the 2nd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JEPPC) was marked by a ceremony to raise the national colors at the Dano High Commission. This first phase is scheduled from March 26 to April 9, 2025. Following the military ceremony, the High Commissioner, Innocents Ouattara, read the launch message of the 2nd edition of the JEPPC from the President of Faso.
The main theme chosen for this year is: "For order and discipline: I commit myself." In his message, the Head of State congratulated each Burkinabe for the patriotic spirit demonstrated in terms of efforts made in several areas. "Unfortunately, some Burkinabe have not yet jumped on the bandwagon of the revolution, preferring to shy away from order and discipline (...)," noted Captain Ibrahim Traor©. He therefore urged them to draw on customs and traditions where order and discipline were the foundation.
The High Commissioner of Ioba Province invited the population to fully commit to making Burkina Faso the country "we dream of." Mr. Ouattara outlined the activities to be carried out during this fortnight of the JEPPC. These include wearing the traditional Faso Danfani and Koko Dunda outfits, a cleanliness day in all departments, and the promotion of local dishes.
"A raising of the national flag is planned at the Ioba Provincial High School on April 7th and the Ditany¨ will be sung in the Dagara language," he informed. For this ceremony launching the JEPPC 2025, the raising of the flag was accompanied by the national anthem sung in the Dagara language by students from the Moutori A and Dano Pari Bilingue primary schools.
