Ioba: The governor of the Djoro region, Siaka Barro, authorized on Saturday, in a press release, the reopening of heavy goods vehicle traffic on the RN20 between Ouessa and Dissihn after the installation of a temporary metal deck on the bridge under repair.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor lifted the suspension of the circulation of heavy goods vehicles on the section of national road No. 20 (RN20) between Ouessa and Dissihn.
This resumption of traffic comes after repair work on the damaged slab panel on the deck of the Ouessa bridge over the Mouhoun River. In addition, the installation of a temporary metal decking by technicians from the Ministry of Infrastructure in order to reinforce the damaged span and secure the passage enabled the rapid reopening of traffic to heavy goods vehicles.
Since Saturday morning, heavy goods vehicles parked in Ouessa and Djikologo have started to circulate again on the section of the RN20 initially suspended. Caution and compliance with temporary signs and safety instructions are recommended, the press release states.
