Ioba: Special Delegation of Ouessa Approves Initial 2026 Budget


Ioba: The special municipal delegation of Ouessa unanimously adopted its initial budget for the 2026 fiscal year during its fourth ordinary session chaired by the President of the special delegation, Ismael Sanogo. The session took place on Friday, October 24, 2025.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the municipal budget is divided into operating expenses and capital expenditures. The operating budget is balanced, with both revenue and expenditures amounting to 56,299,847 CFA francs. Similarly, the capital expenditure budget is balanced at 11,259,969 CFA francs, ensuring financial stability.



The delegates highlighted that the budget was prepared amid a decline in financial partners, exacerbated by the withdrawal of certain state transfers that previously supported municipal operations and investments. In response, the delegation proposed measures to enhance revenue mobilization. These include raising awareness about tax compliance, organizing accountability days, and ensuring the effectiveness of tax collection.



The session was noted for the quality of its discussions. Ismael Sanogo, the President of the special delegation of Ouessa, expressed gratitude to all participants for their dedication and active involvement in the budget session.
