NDjamena: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition has successfully concluded a specialized workshop in NDjamena, the capital of Chad. The two-day event, titled "Effective Implementation of Security Council Resolutions, United Nations Conventions, and Relevant International Standards," marks the fourth phase of the Sahel Program.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the workshop's closing ceremony was attended by Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghidi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition. Yasser Al-Tayfi, an expert in combating terrorism financing and money laundering, moderated the event. The workshop was aimed at individuals working in regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, auditing firms, government positions, and compliance roles.

The event is a part of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition's regional initiatives targeting the Sahel countries, which include Chad, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, and Burkina Faso. The workshop's outcomes are expected to help strengthen institutional integration, update regulatory policies, and build national capacities to tackle security challenges linked to terrorist financing. This initiative is anticipated to enhance security, stability, and development within the region.
