Bobo-Dioulasso:Journalists and communications professionals in Bobo-Dioulasso participated in a training session focused on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The initiative aimed to enhance their understanding and utilization of AI in professional activities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional directorate of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism of Guiriko organized the training. This event was intended to help media and communication professionals adapt to technological advancements and ensure they are not left behind in the ongoing digital transformation.

Boukary Malgoubiri, the regional director of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism of Guiriko, stated that the training was designed to help communication and media actors understand AI's mechanisms, operations, and challenges. AI has become vital in research and work activities, and by the end of the training, participants are expected to be better equipped to handle various AI-related mechanisms.

The training also emphasized the importance of ensuring the authenticity and relevance of information processed using AI tools, highlighting the journalists' responsibility in producing and disseminating information to the public.
