Kalcin School Garden Sets Benchmark for Educational Initiatives in Burkina Faso

Bingo: In the heart of the municipality of Bingo, the Kalcin primary school, which provides quality classical education, also stands out for its school garden, which has become a real gem, AIB observed on site on Friday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Kalcin school garden brilliantly illustrates the school's commitment to practical and civic education, where fundamental knowledge is enriched by concrete and nourishing production. Under the enlightened leadership of its director, Barthelemy Ouedraogo, and thanks to the dedicated involvement of the teaching team, the students have developed a true passion for gardening.

This initiative is strongly encouraged by the Head of the Bingo Basic Education District, Lamourdia Eric Ouoba. As a service leader aligned with the new educational reforms and the values promoted by the authorities of the Progressive and Popular Revolution, he actively supports such initiatives that stimulate the production and consumption of local products.

In Kalcin, the garden is much more than a learning space; it is a symbol of growing pride where, as the students say, "their plate has become their pride." By growing their own vegetables, they not only strengthen their practical skills but also contribute to food self-sufficiency and promote "buying Burkinab¨."

The Kalcin school thus positioned itself as an exemplary actor in the progressive and popular revolution, inspiring other institutions to follow this virtuous path.
