Kaya: On the occasion of the Eid al-Adha celebration, the Association of Muslim Students in Burkina Faso (AEEMB) and the Islamic Study, Research and Training Circle (CERFI) organized a large community prayer this Friday, presided over by Imam Sawadogo Yacouba. In his sermon, the imam highlighted the example of devotion of the Prophet Ibrahim, a symbol of sacrifice, endurance, and sincere friendship with God. He urged the faithful to walk the path of obedience, righteousness, and divine love.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Imam Sawadogo Yacouba emphasized, "God has no need of blood or meat, but of the purity of hearts." Beyond the spiritual dimension, the sermon was marked by strong calls for civic engagement and the imam invited the Muslim community to pray for peace, to support the government's efforts in the struggle for the liberation of the country, and to cultivate tolerance in a secular Burkina Faso.

He also called on young people to be civic-minded and to use social media responsibly. He made a firm appeal to candidates for school exams and direct competitions to reject all forms of fraud. The celebration concluded with the ritual sacrifice of the ram, in an atmosphere marked by spirituality and solidarity.
