Orodara: The High Commissioner of the province of Kenedougou, Saidou Sakira, launched the 12th edition of the inter-service tournament, under the theme: “Sport, a factor in strengthening social cohesion.”

According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch took place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Orodara. The provincial director in charge of Sports, Bazi Betamou, highlighted the strong mobilization of stakeholders, emphasizing the tournament’s role as a framework for exchanges, conviviality, and fraternity among workers from various services.

Mr. Bazi noted that eight teams are participating in this edition, divided into two pools of four. High Commissioner Saidou Sakira encouraged the teams to use the competition as a platform for unity, mutual aid, and fraternity, emphasizing the importance of participation over winning.

Mr. Sakira also called on players to uphold mutual respect, courtesy, and fair play, ensuring the smooth running of the tournament. The event commenced with a gala match between former glories of Kenedougou and the workers’ team, followed by an opening match between Presta Sud-Babali and Action Humaine, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
