Kenedougou JEPPC 2026: Citizens Urged to Engage in the Development of National Resources

Kenedougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Samorogouan, D¨ Millogo, presided over the raising of the national flag during the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JEPPC). He urged citizens to commit to the development of national resources and to adopt behaviors conducive to endogenous development.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held at Samorogouan Primary School "C" under the theme "Food Sovereignty and Economic Patriotism: Together, let's cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption," with the slogan "My plate, my pride!" The ceremony saw the participation of administrative, traditional, and religious authorities, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), students, and local residents.

The flag-raising ceremony featured a choral rendition of the national anthem in the Dioula language, creating a moment filled with solemnity and fervor. D¨ Millogo, delivering the message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, called upon the people to awaken their patriotism, with a strong emphasis on food and economic sovereignty.

Mr. Millogo highlighted the importance of prioritizing local production and consumption as essential drivers of independence and national dignity. He urged citizens to fully commit to developing national resources and to adopt behaviors that foster endogenous development. "Controlling what we consume means taking back the keys to our destiny," he stressed.

The municipal authority encouraged residents to embrace the ideals of the JEPPC and translate them into concrete actions in their daily lives. He reiterated that the development of the municipality depends on collective commitment, unity, and the work of all, underscoring the significance of raising the national flag as a symbol of patriotism, dignity, and national pride. To ensure the message reached a broader audience, it was translated into national languages, including Dioula and Senufo.
