Kiaka SA Invests in Modern Infrastructure for Niaogho Peulh School

Boulgou:Kiaka SA has invested over 18 million FCFA to provide the Niaogho Peulh school with modern infrastructure, enhancing educational facilities as part of its broader social investment policy.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official handover of the new school infrastructure took place during a ceremony presided over by the Secretary General of the town hall, Ambroise Bayili. The event included the participation of the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DEPPNF) of Boulgou, community leaders, and beneficiaries, highlighting the significance of this investment in improving access to quality education.

For the 2026-2027 school year, the Niaogho Peulh school, which has 40 students with 30 enrolled in CP1, benefits from a comprehensive rehabilitation of its buildings. The upgrades include a hand-operated pump, a fenced school garden, a kitchen, and two latrine blocks. The school's director, Azimi Sana, expressed gratitude for the donor's contribution, noting that these improvements provide students with access to water, better dining conditions, and a healthier environment, while also enhancing teaching conditions.

To further enhance the infrastructure, the director requested additional support for a water tower for the garden and a farmyard to teach breeding techniques. Ambroise Bayili thanked Kiaka SA for its responsiveness and praised the local community's involvement in completing the work on schedule. He emphasized the importance of education for development and urged parents to enroll their children in school, while calling on the school council to maintain the facilities properly.

Marou Oudraogo, the Community Relations Coordinator for Kiaka SA, stated that the intervention was crucial, as it was uncertain if the school year could commence without it. This initiative is part of Kiaka SA's commitment to enhancing educational access in communities distant from its mining operations, in collaboration with local authorities and regional stakeholders. The investment in the Niaogho Peulh school represents a significant improvement in learning conditions for the students.
