KIAKA SA Launches Second Edition of Vocational Training for 180 Young People in Zoundwogo

Zoundwogo/gogo: The mining company KIAKA SA launched, on Saturday in Gogo, the second edition of its professional training program for the benefit of 180 young people and women from the communes of Gogo, Niaogho, Bgudo, Boussouma, and Garango, within the framework of the Livelihood Restoration Program (PRMS). The ceremony, presided over by the High Commissioner of the province of Zoundwogo, Julien Oudraogo, took place in the presence of his counterpart from Boulgou, civil society representatives and beneficiaries.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Christian Oudraogo, representative of the director of KIAKA SA, stated that the second edition has 180 beneficiaries, including 70 women. Among them, 125 are from the Nakamb region and 55 from the Nazinon region. In total, 21 promising professions were selected in the fields of agro-sylvo-pastoral, maintenance, building, crafts, services, and entrepreneurship.

Scheduled to last three months, the training aims to enable beneficiaries to acquire professional skills that can be directly applied in employment and self-employment. Dr. Christian Oudraogo invited the beneficiaries to fully seize this opportunity and to invest in their training.

High Commissioner Julien Oudraogo congratulated the actors involved in the implementation of the program, notably KIAKA SA and the CFPEM-SST Training Centre. He called on the beneficiaries to demonstrate discipline and commitment, stressing that competence is an asset to be valued through work, initiative, creativity, and perseverance.

The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Gogo, Issa Tiendrebeogo, welcomed this initiative which, according to him, provides a concrete response to the challenge of young people's access to qualifying training and socio-economic integration opportunities. On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohamine Gubr thanked the village chiefs, the Presidents of the Special Delegations, and the officials of KIAKA SA for this opportunity.
