Kindi Celebrates Excellence in Education Sector

Boulkiemde: The commune of Kindi celebrated academic excellence on Wednesday, April 1, under the chairmanship of the president of the special delegation (PDS), Jean Yves Ahmed Sanou, AIB observed. This day provided an opportunity to reward the most deserving students and teachers in the area.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was themed "Academic Excellence: A Springboard for Patriotic Commitment and Endogenous Development," and brought together administrative, traditional, and religious authorities, as well as stakeholders in the education sector. Among those present were the provincial directors of education for Boulkiemde: Boureima Ouedraogo for primary education and Yacinthe Yameogo for secondary education, alongside the Head of the Nandiala Basic Education District (CCEB), Bruno Kalaga Yameogo, who came to support his counterpart from Kindi, Sadou Yameogo.

At the primary level, Baribsi school stood out by claiming the top spots. Sibiri Jean-Baptiste Kiendrebeogo (9.02/10 average) and Warigne Ruelle Bonkoungou (8.94/10) were named best boy and best girl in the CEB, respectively. Both received a bicycle and school supplies as rewards.

In post-primary education, the accolades went to Mohamed Kabore from the Zerkoum CEG (16.80/20) and Genevi¨ve Birba from the Kone CEG (15.10/20). At the secondary level, Nassoulou High School dominated, with Andre Baguemzanre (13.52/20) and W. Rosalie Ouedraogo (12.36/20) both securing baccalaureate results. All these top students were also awarded bicycles to aid their transportation.

The teaching staff were not left out of the celebrations. Mr. Patrice Kalmogo of Baribsi school received the "gold medal" for primary education, achieving a remarkable 100% pass rate on the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) with 60 out of 60 candidates passing. In recognition of his accomplishment, he was awarded a tablet and a letter of congratulations.

The Lycee de Nassoulou was named the best post-primary and secondary school, with its headmaster receiving a tablet and a letter of recognition from the provincial director of secondary, vocational, and technical education for Boulkiemde.

"Keep this flame burning brightly so that it never goes out," urged PDS Jean Yves Ahmed Sanou, congratulating the award winners for their resilience and dedication to their work. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of letters of recognition to several individuals and entities who have contributed to promoting education in the commune of Kindi.
