K©n©dougou Celebrates Day of Customs and Traditions with Prayers for Peace

K©n©dougou: The canton of Kouini in the commune of Djigouera marked the Day of Customs and Traditions on Friday, May 15, 2026, with prayers and invocations aimed at fostering peace and social cohesion in Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was characterized by an atmosphere of fraternity and respect for ancestral values as people, traditional leaders, and elders gathered to honor their ancestors. The celebration involved traditional rites, blessings, and invocations, all focused on seeking protection for Burkina Faso and promoting unity and harmonious coexistence among its people.

The canton chief of Kouini, His Majesty Beindjatin Kepira Siaka Ouattara, led prayers for the country's stability and the prosperity of its inhabitants. He expressed a desire for peace to prevail in Burkina Faso, for its people to live in harmony, and for the blessings of the ancestors to support the nation.
