Kokologho: Faced with the dilapidated state of the Medical Center's only ambulance, the sons and daughters of the commune are mobilizing through a citizen initiative launched to collect 10 million which will be used to purchase a new ambulance. The situation is clear. The current ambulance's engine is failing and breakdowns are becoming more frequent. Today, to save lives, the community often depends on the generosity of neighboring towns like Poa, Komki-Ipala, or Tanghin.

According to Burkina Information Agency, led by Moumouni Nana, a shopkeeper and head of the initiative, a coordination unit was established to transform this concern into concrete action. "These breakdowns are a wake-up call: the complete shutdown of the evacuation service is imminent. We decided to launch this SOS so we are no longer mere spectators of this situation," explains Mr. Nana.

The issue goes beyond common illnesses. Patrick Kabor©, head of the institution and communications support for the project, emphasizes a crucial point: Kokologho's strategic location, crossed by National Route 1 (RN1), makes the town the site of numerous traffic accidents. Having a high-performing ambulance is not a luxury, but an absolute necessity for the rapid treatment of the injured. Of an estimated budget of 10 million FCFA, just over 4 million have already been raised thanks to the generosity of the initial donors.

As the periods of Lent and Ramadan approach, the initiators launch a vibrant appeal to all residents of the commune (both in the country and abroad); to friends and partners of Kokologho; to economic operators and people of goodwill. Every contribution, however small, is a step closer to acquiring this invaluable vehicle. By participating in this collective effort, you're not just buying an engine, you're saving lives.
