K©n©dougou: The Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) agriculture option of the commune of Koloko, returning from training, were urged this Thursday by the PDS, €°mile Si© Dah, to “put into practice the knowledge acquired” for the achievement of food self-sufficiency in the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) agriculture option from the commune of Koloko were received by the communal authorities after a three-month training as part of the Presidential Initiative for agricultural production and food self-sufficiency. The president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Koloko, €°mile Si© Dah, praised the commitment of these young people, describing them as future actors in local development. He encouraged them to apply their acquired knowledge to boost agricultural production and achieve food self-sufficiency in the commune.

€°mile Si© Dah also assured the volunteers that measures will be taken to support their integration and facilitate the implementation of the skills acquired during their training. Numbering 25, these young individuals from the third cohort received theoretical and practical training in agriculture, livestock farming, and fish farming.

The spokesperson for the agricultural VDP, Ousmane Coulibaly, shared that their training commenced with a month of patriotic immersion in Badnogo, Ouagadougou, and continued with two months of technical capacity building at the Yako training center. He expressed the beneficiaries’ gratitude to the authorities for this opportunity.
