Kombissiri: Internally displaced and vulnerable students from the commune, who are candidates for the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) and the BEPC (Junior High School Leaving Certificate), received food and other donations to help them prepare for their exams. Leandre Zagre, an education professional and initiator of the initiative, stated that these donations aim to protect these students from food insecurity during this crucial period in their education.According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2025-2026 school year in Burkina Faso is nearing its end, with school exams fast approaching. This period has raised concerns for students in vulnerable situations taking these exams. Recognizing this challenge, Leandre Zagre, a citizen of Kombissiri, initiated a fundraising and food drive to support these struggling students.Mr. Zagre's efforts resulted in the collection of 15 bags of 25 kg rice, 5 cartons of pasta (spaghetti), and a sum of 40,000 FCFA. The food supplies were distributed to 14 intern ally displaced and disabled students who are candidates for the CEP and BEPC exams. Additionally, a bag of rice was given to a vulnerable family in the town. The 40,000 FCFA was allocated to the 4 students who are candidates for the BEPC, to cover participation fees for the BEPC week, an intensive support period before the exam.The act of solidarity, as explained by Leandre Zagre, aims to shield these vulnerable students from food insecurity and to enhance their preparation for the upcoming exams. He attributed the success of this humanitarian action to the mobilization of friends, partners, and generous donors.
