Kompienga: The High Commissioner of Kompienga Province, Isma«l Ouattara, paid a vibrant tribute on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Pama, to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), in his New Year's greetings for 2026, for their numerous actions which have allowed the return of peace to the cities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of Kompienga province, Isma«l Ouattara, commended the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), acknowledging their significant efforts in restoring peace across the cities. He remarked on the closing year 2025, highlighting both achievements and remaining challenges.

Ouattara also paid respects to those who lost their lives and extended well wishes for the recovery of the injured. He praised the resilience of the Kompienga population for their role in achieving security and humanitarian outcomes.

In his address, Ouattara emphasized unity and discipline as essential in overcoming terrorism. He called for spiritual strength for the fighters to reclaim territorial integrity, expressing hope for peace and security in Burkina Faso in 2026.

He concluded with a blessing for the nation, reaffirming the resolve to overcome adversity.
